Optimus has today announced a new partnership with Insurtech firm, Uinsure, that will see the integration of home insurance into the market-leading Optimus platform.
The collaboration aims to create a meaningful step change in conveyancing and insurance conversion, alongside intermediated mortgage transactions, by enabling advisers to instruct both conveyancing and an insurance referral in a single, friction free journey at the most relevant stage of a mortgage application for the consumer.
Advisers can enrich their service to customers by seamlessly co-ordinating the two services which are integral to completing a mortgage. And for advisers’ clients, the integration means that insurance can be offered at a key moment in the homebuying journey, as the legal process commences.
Martin Schultheiss, Uinsure’s chief commercial officer, said: “Both insurance and conveyancing are necessities of any mortgage but both elements have often been overlooked and not consistently offered by mortgage firms. The integration with Optimus means that insurance can be referred at the same time as instructing a solicitor, and the progress of each referral can also be tracked online.
“We’re very much looking forward to launching the partnership as we continue to innovate in order to meet our long-term mission of removing the complexity of insurance for advisers and their clients.”
Alan Young, managing director at Optimus, said: “Uinsure is a quality partner for Optimus and by working together it offers a transformative, strong and dependable digital journey for advisers. Advisers can instruct conveyancing and immediately refer to Uinsure, without having to deviate or seek quotes from other providers or platforms. It essentially brings insurance and conveyancing into one place, stripping out the administration and time spent managing separate systems.”
